Miranda Betchvaia

Consultant

Miranda is an experienced professional with a robust background and passion for EU affairs, public policy, and academia. At NOVE, she advises clients to understand and navigate complex legislative and policy questions in sustainability and energy policy.

Before embarking on her journey at NOVE, Miranda completed a Schuman Traineeship in the Cabinet of the President of the European Parliament, where she worked in the External Dimensions team. Notably, Miranda worked on EU-China, EU-CELAC, and Transatlantic affairs. She also supported the President in preparing for high-level events such as G20 and G7 Speaker’s conferences. Previously, she also worked on EU education policy, contributing to green and sustainable mobility.
Miranda's rich institutional expertise is complemented by her tenure at Transparency International's Ukraine office and her fellowship at the European Values Centre for Security Policy. As a Young European Ambassador since 2016, Miranda has been actively promoting European integration and neighborhood policies within and outside the EU, notably in the Eastern Partnership countries.
Miranda holds a Master’s in European Politics and Governance from the College of Europe in Bruges, where she was awarded a full scholarship from the European Commission. She also holds a joint Master’s in European Public Policy from the Central European University and the University of York. She completed her undergraduate studies in Georgia and participated in exchange programs in Estonia and Romania.
Miranda is fluent in English and Georgian and has an intermediate level of French and Russian.
