Prior to joining NOVE, Maria was a European Parliament Schuman Trainee in the Directorate-General for Internal Policies of the Union.

Working in the Legislative Affairs Unit of the Parliament, she followed the EU Covid Digital Certificate and the Asylum and Migration Management Regulation negotiations, and the Ordinary Legislative Procedure Report. Before coming to Brussels, Maria worked in a law firm in Madrid, specialized in International and European Law. Finally, as a part of her college training, she had the opportunity to spend a summer working in the Spanish Permanent Representation to the European Union.
Maria studied at the Comillas Pontifical University – ICADE, from whom she gained a dual degree in Law and International Relations, as well as specializing with a Master’s in international and European Law. As a specialist in legal affairs, she works on EU sustainability policies for a number of NOVE clients.
