Luca Tonelli
Consultant
Prior to joining NOVE, Luca worked at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy (DG Ener) specializing in energy relations with Sub-Saharan countries and international methane emissions reduction in the oil and gas sector. Before this, he completed a traineeship in economic and environmental cooperation at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean and worked as an assistant project manager in international development at Proman Luxembourg.
Luca holds a Master’s degree in EU International Relations and Diplomacy from the College of Europe in Bruges, a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Bologna, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Sciences from the University of Bologna. During his time as a student, Luca cultivated extensive academic experience in European Affairs, energy policy, and international security by attending university in Australia, Luxembourg, and the U.K. Luca speaks Italian, English, French, and has an understanding of Spanish and German.
