Kalin Tomov
Director
Drawing on nearly two decades of experience in negotiating, transposing, and implementing EU legislation, Kalin brings to NOVE a wealth of additional expertise and analysis of EU decision-making.
Kalin has been working in the field of EU integration since 2002, holding different positions in national administrations and in Brussels, engaging in policy negotiation and implementation across various fields - including in the area of internal market and digital technologies. Prior to joining Nove, Kalin worked for more than 8 years as the Head of the Competitiveness Section at the Permanent Representation of Bulgaria to the EU, negotiating within the Council and in some instances with the EP on key legislative proposals related to Digital Markets and Services, Competition, Digital Contract Law, etc. Additionally,, Kalin has held various positions in policy making and political cabinets in the Government of Bulgaria and has been Chair of the Board of Directors of a large company with approximately 500 staff.

Post-graduate degree in European Studies – University of Birmingham (UK)
