Darko Levicar

Director

With an extensive background working in the public and private sectors, as well as on international projects, Darko utilises his vast experience to provide clients with holistic and horizontal advice.

Over the past two decades, Darko has worked across the public and private sector on topics such as sustainable mobility, energy, agriculture, trade, digital platforms, product industrialisation, and infrastructure. He has been actively involved in business operations and advised boards of management in the automotive, energy production and distribution, mobility and logistics sectors, while also working with the governments of Slovenia and other EU Member States, as well as with trade organisations and chambers of commerce.
Prior to joining NOVE, Darko held a variety of management positions and worked as a private consultant and as a counsellor at the Slovenian Ministry for Infrastructure. During the Slovenian Presidency of the EU Council in 2021, he chaired Council working group meetings on transport. From working on and coordinating sustainable and smart mobility projects, he has collaborated with many stakeholders in the EU, Western Balkans, Taiwan, China, and the U.S.
