NOVE analyses recent GDPR guidelines
From May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will enter into force.
To assist stakeholders with implementation, the national Supervisory Authorities have been preparing a series of guidelines as tools to assist consumers, data processors and controllers in becoming GDPR-ready. The most recent guidelines concern data breach notifications and profiling. A public consultation is open until November 28 for interested stakeholders to hand in their reactions and recommendations. National Supervisory Authorities will then consider this input before a final version of the texts is adopted. NOVE’s ICT team is actively assisting clients determine whether they should submit a response to the consultation, as well as in preparing their responses accordingly.
