TECH Junior consultant

About the job To support our business growth, NOVE is currently seeking 1 strategic minded and motivated Public Affairs Professional to join TECH practice as Junior Consultant, starting ASAP. The contract will last for twelve months (potentially renewable) and is competitively remunerated. If you are eager to learn, proactive, passionate about the EU, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic structure, this opportunity might be for you. You should relish the challenges of handling a mix of public affairs and communications activities in all of NOVE’s practices. We expect flexibility from you and, in return, we promise a truly collegial approach to reaching the high standards that our clients have come to expect. Role and responsibilities Under the guidance of senior team members, your tasks will include: Monitoring, gathering intelligence and providing analysis of EU policies and legislation; Researching and drafting background notes; Attending and writing minutes from internal meetings; Providing logistical support for meetings and events; Reporting from external events and institutional/political meetings; Performing other tasks as requested to contribute to the objectives of NOVE. Qualifications and skills The ideal candidate will have: Master degree in political science, economics, European affairs/studies or law; Strong research and analytical skills; Proven knowledge of the EU decision making process and stakeholders environment; Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Working knowledge of one or more European languages is an asset; Previous experience in a consultancy/in-house, EU institution, trade association or other relevant professional environment; Great time management skills; Good knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software, with mastering of Power Point being an asset; Strong collaboration skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
